Easter Sunday

Today is the most glorious day of the Christian faith. It is the day that we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ! The Lord is risen! He is risen indeed! Hallelujah! We heard a wonderful message at church - that we have hope because God is alive and well! And we celebrated the Eucharist with thankful hearts, full of hope!

It is also a day of family time together. I had 18 people at my house today for lunch. It was utter chaos - and a lot of fun! My parents, my daughter and her son, my sister and her husband, 2 of her 3 sons, their wives and children. The only family missing was my son, Kyle, who is based in New Orleans and had to work this weekend, and my sister's middle son, his wife and daughter. We all ate too much and needed a nap afterwards!

To anyone who reads my rambling thoughts on today, I pray that your Easter Sunday was spent in celebrating the resurrection of Jesus, and with your family. And if you don't know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, know that God is seeking you. He loves you so much that He gave His only Son to die on the cross for you, so that you might have eternal life. Today, receive Him into your heart so that you may also celebrate the resurrection of your Lord and Savior.

Blessings to all,
Elaine

Time and Priorities

It is amazing how quickly time passes. I think I have "x" number of hours in a day to write to my little heart's content. Before I realize it, the day is gone and I've not worked / written on any project currently in my box.

I now have a writing schedule for 4 weeks, beginning Monday, April 13. I will be up every morning and at my computer at 4:30 am and will write unitil 5:30. Back at it from 8:30 pm - 10:00 pm Monday through Friday, with extra time thrown in on the weekends. Good lord, I get tired just thinkin about it.

Every Writer Needs a Blog

I read that somewhere. That every writer needs a blog. So here I am. I will use this space to blog about anything and everything, but mostly about writing.

I had my first published article this week! Titled "His Light in Today's World" the article was published on the Mid-South Diocese of the Charismatic Episcopal Church's website. (http://midsouthdiocese.wordpress.com/page/2/) It may not be the same to some people as being published in print, but as my darling hubby said, "it [the website] is public, so it's published."

I have a number of things "cooking" right now. I'm working on several short stories for contest entries. I am also writing what started out as a short story, but surpassed that designation about 10,000 words ago! So I'm not sure what the end result will be - novel, short novel?? Who knows?

Until next time,

Elaine
